I was really sad to hear over the weekend about the passing of Rich Hubbard, a man who I was proud to call a friend, and who inspired and encouraged me greatly over the last few years.
He had battled his cancer until the very end, and never lost sight of the greater goal.
Rich was a great guy, funny, witty, wise and insightful. He lived a life of commitment to God’s call – and because of that, leaves a legacy of changed lives and transformed communities and he gave of himself freely.
I look forward to seeing him again one fine day – until then long may we continue to follow humbly in his footsteps. There arent many people of his calibre out there, we are poorer without him, but blessed by every moment he spent here. His work continues without him, which in itself is a great tribute to this wonderful guy.
Au revoir Rich, and thanks. So sad you’re gone.
