Christian Meditation in Grimsby

If you are looking for Christian meditation in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, are interested in Centering Prayer, Lectio Divina, the Visualisation exercises of Ignatius of Loyola, or are just interested generally in the spiritual practises of ancient Christianity, then look no further.

We’re putting on a half day session, which is an introduction to Christian meditation, and which will lead you through three of the key forms of meditative practise.

So if you’re interested in the spiritual side of Christianity, want to learn more about the way meditation has been practised and developed over the last couple of thousand years, and are keen to incorporate more of this key spiritual discipline into your life, then why not come along. You can dowload this Meditation-Leaflet for more information.

We’re holding it at the ‘City Church’ centre, on Freeman Street in Grimsby on Saturday December 4th. It will run from 9.30 am to about mid-day – please don’t be late. The session is free, although donations towards the cost of room hire etc are welcome. You will need to book, as places are limited.

Christian meditation is not just about destressing,  lowering your blood pressure, or calming the mind, although all of these things are positive side effects. Christian meditation is about a deep spiritual encounter.

We’re hoping to begin a regular weekly meditation session in the new year, and this half day workshop/mini retreat is designed to act as an introductory session, to help you develop meditation in your daily life, and to explore what Christian meditation means.
